Advanced People Management Skills

This course is designed to hone and develop the people, process and performance skills of managers. It draws on current management thinking and theory to assist managers in developing their own approach to achieving their aims through excellence in people management. This event provides structured sharing of knowledge and experience against proven and tested management theory to provide delegates with new viewpoints that will enable them to move confidently to develop their staff and get the best out of people.

 Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

·         To review and understand the role of leadership in contributing to the performance of an organisation

·         Understand different models of leadership styles and review how and when these might be applied to increase leadership effectiveness

·        Build personal development action plans for translating learning into practical application back in the workplace

Ø       Leadership Styles – input and practical exercises on different ways of looking at leadership styles and their application in different situations

Ø       Leadership Feedback – review of 360 degree feedback on individual’s own Management strengths and perceived areas for improvement

Ø       Leadership Model – insight into the distinguishing behaviours and skills most likely to bring success

Ø      Personal Planning - an opportunity for individuals to review what they have learned and make personal action plans for back at work
