Bob has a degree in Psychology and Sociology and is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. He is also a Member of the Institute of Management and is past President  of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce and was a founder member of the Institute of Personnel and Development Branch in Jersey. Bob has over 20 years experience in Human Resources in a variety of different Personnel functions within both the Public and Private sectors. Having started his career with the States of Jersey and after several years in a wide range of Human Resource positions, he moved on to join Chase Manhattan Bank in Jersey as their first HR Manager.  After six years he moved to Ernst & Young, Jersey as their first HR Director.

In 1996 Bob established Hassell Blampied Associates as the first professional Human Resources Consultancy business in Jersey and is currently Managing Director. Bob's background is as a Human Resource generalist although he has experience in organisational design, reward design and negotiation and job evaluation.  Bob's experiences also include world-wide training responsibility with Chase Manhattan Bank in delivering support to new marketing initiatives and, similarly with Ernst & Young, where he was a part of the European training team working with Partners and Senior Managers on their business development skills
