Interview Skills
The aim of recruitment
is to obtain the number and quality of employees required to meet the
staffing needs of the business at a reasonable cost. In the current
employment climate in the Channel Islands, with scarce resources, it is
essential that businesses obtain the right people for jobs both from their
own perspective as well as from the employee’s standpoint.
This one-day programme
explains the three stages of recruitment, defining requirements, attracting
candidates and selecting candidates and the related issues that ensure the
right person is appointed to the right job. These skills are as appropriate
to internal appointments as they are to external recruitment.
The course will be
interactive and highly participative with examples focused towards real work
situations. Candidates will be given an opportunity of working examples
through the whole process including interviewing. They will also conduct
“live” interviews with candidates and receive feedback on their strengths
and improvement needs.
