Leadership skills
This interactive
seminar will assist leaders and strategy setters to develop the skills and
understanding of the value and benefit of developing a more inclusive style
of leadership that responds proactively to the diverse talents and needs of
others.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of the
course, delegates will be able to:
· Develop
a shared understanding of Inclusive Leadership and the business benefit of
leading individuals and teams with a more inclusive style

Understand one’s own personal biases
and stereotypes as a basis of leading and working effectively with others
who are different

Define the key competencies and
behaviours that lead to the adoption of a more inclusive leadership style
·
Review and role play a number of
business situations and scenarios and demonstrate the practical value of
more inclusive leadership behaviour

Establish personal development action
plans for translating learning into practical application back in the
workplace

· Feedback – this programme is
most effective if preceded by 360 degree feedback on leadership styles and
preference

Business Context – reviewing
the leadership demands of operating in a more complex & diverse commercial
world with a premium on valuing & working with difference

Stereotypes & Biases –
practical exercises to demonstrate our own biases and assumptions about
others
·
Inclusive Leadership Model–
review and discussion of Inclusive Leadership model highlighting the main
competencies and behaviours of an Inclusive Leader
·
Applications – a number of
exercises and role plays to practice the skills of inclusive leadership and
demonstrate the applied benefit of a more inclusive style – includes
establishing common aims, running inclusive meetings, building individual
rapport and handling cultural clashes
·
Personal Planning - an
opportunity for individuals to review what they have learned and make
personal action plans for back at work
