Outplacement
Service
HBA offers outplacement services
for all levels of staff who are leaving their employment, generally for
reasons such as restructuring or redundancy.
Such work is
normally accepted as a commission from the employer to assist with such
difficult exercises from the point of planning with management for the announcements through to
assisting the staff to find alternative employment.
In other cases HBA works with
management to establish redundancy procedures that are fair to all concerned
and then help to apply them in identifying those staff affected and then
working with staff to help them through the difficult time to find another
position.
HBA help
Management by:
- Identifying appropriate
policies and procedures where redundancies are to apply
- Supporting managers in
making announcements to the affected staff
- Supporting and advising on
policies and practices that should be applied to remaining staff not
directly affected by redundancies
- Advising on communications,
internal and external, through the process
- Assisting in rebuilding
morale within the business after redundancy announcements
- Supporting unaffected staff
who may need independent counselling because of redundancy announcements
Help the affected staff by:
- Providing one to one
counselling to individuals
- Focusing on the
individual's strengths and intentions to assist in rebuilding morale and
self-esteem
- Using psychometric
testing where appropriate to assist in identifying likely career
- Preparing CV's with staff
with properly reflect their skills and abilities
- Targeting likely
employment prospects in the 'open' and 'hidden' employment markets
- Planning job search
programmes
- Identifying how best to
make contacts to 'open doors' with employers
- Using personal contacts
to uncover employment opportunities
- Preparing staff for
employment interviews to ensure they present themselves in the manner
most likely to result in an employment offer
- Offering 'infrastructure'
support at all times with administration, secretarial, office
accommodation and other facilities appropriate to each staff member's
needs
- Providing a conduit
between the staff member and the organisation should this be seen
necessary to maintain common decency
- Ensuring that they are
provided with appropriate levels of psychological support throughout
Within limits of individual
confidentiality and discretion, HBA provide management with progress reports
throughout the exercise to keep them aware of progress in each case.
Our costs for this service
are charged on a fixed fee basis at highly competitive rates depending
on the needs of the client. |
